Terry Francona Says He’s a Better Person for His Eight Years as Red Sox Manager


Terry Francona was the face of the Red Sox for almost a decade. During that time, Francona saw some incredible times and some incredibly frustrating times.

In the end, the frustrations of this season turned out to be too much. However, at the news conference announcing his departure on Friday, Francona admitted that while managing in Boston is difficult, it's something that he's glad he got to do. He said it changed him for the better as a person, and it was an experience he enjoyed for the most part.
