Crash Davis taught pitchers not to throw punches with their dominant hand. Now, thanks to Brett Cecil, they know not to use them to clean blenders, either.

Cecil was scratched from his start against the Yankees on Friday after cutting his index finger while cleaning a blender, reports CBS Sports' Eye on Baseball.

This is a friendly reminder to all pitchers that the sharp blades at the bottom of blenders are still very dangerous, even if the contraption is unplugged. But at least it was unplugged for Cecil.

The lefty is listed as day-to-day and should probably invest in a dishwasher for his future blender adventures.
