Torrey Smith's Record-Setting Three-Touchdown Receiving Performance Helps Ravens Soar Over Rams Torrey Smith defied the common belief that rookie receivers rarely make an impact. The Ravens second-round pick used his blazing speed to torch the Rams secondary right out of the gate.

His first three career receptions were for touchdowns, and all of them came before the end of the first quarter.

Joe Flacco connected with Smith for touchdowns of 74, 41 and 18 yards. The rookie wideout finished with five catches for 152 yards and three touchdowns for a whopping 30.4 yards per catch.

Smith tweeted that he had a "good feeling about [Sunday]" well before the referee blew the opening whistle, but he couldn't have had any clue that he and the Ravens offense would set records in that game.

In fact, he had only been targeted one time before the huge win on Sunday.

"I never doubted myself for a minute," said Smith, via the Baltimore Sun. "I've been playing football forever. I've been making plays forever."
