Wayne Rooney Records Second Straight Hat Trick As Manchester United Routs Bolton 5-0

BOLTON, England — Wayne Rooney scored three goals and Javier Hernandez added two to help Manchester United rout Bolton 5-0 to continue its perfect start in the Premier League.

United followed up its 8-2 thrashing of Arsenal with another high-scoring display, as Hernandez netted the opener after just four minutes before Rooney added another two before halftime.

Hernandez made it 4-0 in the 58th before Rooney made it 10 goals in his last six appearances for United and England midway through the second half.

It was Rooney's second straight hat trick in the league after also scoring three against Arsenal.

United tops the table with 12 points from four games, ahead of Manchester City on goal difference.
