Andrew Luck 'Wasn't Surprised' by Former Coach Jim Harbaugh's Handshake With Jim SchwartzHaving spent two seasons coached by Jim Harbaugh, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck knows the 49ers' head man as well as anybody.

Seeing his old coach get into a postgame scuffle with Lions head coach Jim Schwartz was not unexpected for the junior signal caller.

"I wasn't surprised," Luck told Jon Wilmer of the San Jose Mercury News regarding his reaction to Harbaugh's hardy handshake.

Neither was Luck's teammate, senior receiver Griff Whalen.

"We watched it live and started cracking up," Whalen said. "It was good to see not too much has changed."

Harbaugh's postgame confrontation with Schwartz wasn't the first of his coaching career. During his time in Palo Alto, Harbaugh was confronted by former USC coach Pete Carroll regarding Stanford's decision to go for a two-point conversion late in a 2009 game. When Carroll asked Harbaugh, "What's your deal?," Harbaugh replied with, "What's your deal?," before walking away.

"The canned answer is, 'That's Jim,'" said current Cardinal head coach David Shaw, who was an offensive coordinator for Harbaugh from 2007-2010. "He loves to win, and when he wins, he gets fired up.''
