Bill Belichick is all business on the gridiron, which makes him a polarizing figure amongst NFL fans. His popularity off the field, though, is becoming increasingly clear.

Belichick dropped by Showtime’s Inside the NFL to discuss a number of topics with host Chris Collinsworth and special guest Charles Barkley. While on the show, he talked about his friendship with Barkley, which goes back to Belichick’s days with the Cleveland Browns.

The New England head coach revealed that he and Barkley spent a lot of time together, during which they went out to dinner and discussed competitive sports. Belichick complimented Barkley’s competitiveness and said that he’d use him as a tight end if he were playing in the NFL.

Belichick also talked about his friendship with Phil Simms and gave his two cents on postgame handshakes in the NFL.

Check out what else Belichick had to say in the video below, pointed out by Barstool Sports.
