Boston College is among the national leaders in Graduation Success Rate (GSR) among FBS schools. According to data announced this week by the NCAA, BC graduated 97 percent of its student athletes.

In addition, 21 BC sports teams received a perfect GSR score of 100 percent, the most teams with a perfect score of any FBS athletics program in the country.

The 97 percent tied the Eagles with Duke for second in the nation, behind only Notre Dame, who graduated 99 percent of its student athletes.

BC's football team's score of 93 made the Eagles one of only six FBS programs in the country to receive a score of 90 or better. The other five schools included Notre Dame (97), Duke (93), Northwestern (94), Rice (93) and Navy (91).

This year's statistics were based on the GSR of the four entering classes from 2001-02 through 2004-05.
