Chris Wondolowski Scores Two Goals, Leads San Jose Earthquakes Past Revolution 2-1

It's been a disappointing season for the Revolution thus far. Saturday night's 2-1 loss to the San Jose Earthquakes is just the latest instance of heartbreak.

Chris Wondolowski's header in the 83rd minute, marking his second goal of the match, gave the Earthquakes a 2-1 lead they wouldn't relinquish. The goal was his 14th of the season.

The Revs tied the game in the 55th minute when midfielder Benny Feilhaber put one home to the delight of the Gillette Stadium crowd. But it was their only tally of the evening.

The match's first goal, also scored by Wondolowski, came after David Bingham, who was making his MLS debut, booted the ball about 75 yards down the field. Wondolowski tracked it down and stormed past a New England defender to score the goal.

The win ends a nine-match road winless streak for the Earthquakes. The Revolution are now 5-15-12 overall this season.
