Nearly seven months after a pair of Dodgers fans attacked Giants fan Bryan Stow outside Dodger Stadium, doctors have announced that Stow's condition has improved enough for him to be released from the hospital and moved to a rehabilitation facility.
Stow was transferred from San Francisco General Hospital to the rehab facility on Tuesday, CBS San Francisco reports. Neurosurgery chief Dr. Geoff Manley reportedly said that Stow has made "dramatic progress" since his arrival at the hospital.
Stow was flown to San Francisco General Hospital on May 16 after spending time in a Los Angeles hospital since the March 31 beating. While he suffered setbacks upon his arrival, Stow recently began speaking and moving his limbs again.
The Stow family requested that the name of the rehabilitation facility not be released.
