Kenny Dalglish has praised Liverpool's owners for fully supporting him in the transfer market. That looks like it will be the case going forward, according to ESPN.

"We are happy about the strength of the squad we have got," the Liverpool manager said. "The more players I have to choose from, the more difficult my job is, but the better it is for everyone. We have a fit squad at the moment but I am sure that won't last too long.

"There is a window coming up in January and if we feel the need to use it I am sure we will get full support [from the owners]."

In the year since Fenway Sports Group purchased the club, Liverpool has spent nearly £120 million ($191 million) on new players. That has seen the club freshen the squad with quality players and much needed depth.

With this solid base of players, Liverpool can now focus on more targeted spending. With ownership support, Dalglish and director of football Damien Comolli can acquire specific players to solve specific problems. The leadership duo can also buy a player that it believes will raise the average talent level on the time. In other words, they can add a star if they see fit.

What do you think? Who would you like to see Liverpool add in the January transfer window?
