A Mexican soccer team tried to gain more popularity and recognition in the world of social media by replacing its players' names with their Twitter handles on their jerseys.

Jaguares de Chipas was not the first team to mix social media and uniforms. The Spanish club of Valencia put their team's official Twitter handle on the front of players' jerseys when the team lacked a sponsor, according to The Next Web.

It is not often professional sports teams change the traditional look of players' names on jerseys. One of the most notable examples, however, was when the now extinct XFL allowed players to put nicknames on the backs of their jerseys.
