Dan Wheldon didn't run in the NASCAR circuit during his racing career, but there will be plenty of remembrances for the late IndyCar driver this weekend at Talladega.
NASCAR Sprint Cup and Truck Series teams will don special decals on their helmets and cars honoring the memory of Wheldon, who died last week at Las Vegas from injuries sustained in a gruesome 15-car wreck. The decal will be a variation of the "Lionheart Knight" decal that Wheldon wore on his helmet.
According to ESPN.com, NASCAR will also honor Wheldon with a prerace moment of silence prior to the invocations on both Saturday and Sunday.
ESPN's Marty Smith tweeted out a picture of the "Lionheart Knight" decal that will be seen all over the track this weekend. See it below.
