The formerly bad news Bengals lasted five weeks before drawing their first significant on-field fine in 2011.

Bengals running back Cedric Peerman was fined for an illegal block last Sunday, Cincinnati.com reports.

The NFL deemed Peerman's block on Colts linebacker A.J. Edds during a punt return illegal, Joe Reedy writes. Edds left the game with a concussion, has not practice this week and reportedly is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

No penalty was called on the return.
