The puck drops on the 2011-12 season for the Boston Bruins on Thursday night, as Shawn Thornton, Adam McQuaid, Milan Lucic, Gregory Campbell and the rest of the B's tough guys will author a whole new season's worth of fights to entertain the fans.

Before that season gets under way, though, take a look at what the fans voted as the best Bruins fight of the 2010-11 season.

The fight took place on Nov. 18, when the Panthers visited Boston. Thornton squared off in the neutral zone with Darcy Hordichuk toward the end of the first period. With the players roughly the same height and Hordichuk holding just a slight weight advantage, the fight was as fair as fair can be.

The fight earned an 8.1 rating on hockeyfights.com, with 52.7 of viewers giving Thornton the win and 38.2 percent calling it a draw.

The bout was so good that it won its weekly vote by a healthy margin and earned a few more votes than the Johnny BoychukJaroslav Spacek bout during the wild Bruins-Canadiens game.
