It's No. 1 versus No. 2, Crimson Tide against Bayou Bengals, the game of the century for all the marbles, and all that other stuff.

Top-ranked LSU takes on second-ranked Alabama on Saturday night in one of the most highly antipated college football games in years. For one night, all eyes will be on a college football game that isn't the BCS National Championship game or a major bowl.

Alabama may be the No. 2 team in The Associated Press poll, but they're the superior team in the sports books. The Tide are favored by 4 1/2 points over LSU on the betting website Bodog.

The winner of the game controls its own destiny for the national championship. The loser will likely need help from the pollsters and the other three undefeated teams currently ranked in the top five to have a chance at the crystal football.

If necessary, the losers can always take solace in still being the big men on campus with this cheerleader photo gallery.
