As club president, Bilello will oversee the club’s soccer and business operations. He joined the team in 2006 and spent six years as the club’s chief operating officer.
“Brian is a well-versed and well-respected sports business executive,” Revolution operator Jonathan Kraft said. “Not only does he have a tremendous passion for soccer, but he also has a deep connection to the Revolution and a strong desire to be part of Major League Soccer’s continued growth.
Burns was promoted to general manager from his previous position of vice president of player personnel. The former Revs captain joined team management in 2005 as director of soccer. He will play the lead role in all on-field matters, including installing a coaching staff, acquiring players and player development (from the youth through senior teams).
“He is well-grounded in both American soccer and the Revolution,” Kraft said about Burns. “And he has a long history with our family. During the last few years, he has proven to us that he is talented and more than capable to take on these responsibilities and lead our soccer operations.”
Sunil Gulati, who served as president of Kraft Soccer since 1999, steps aside from his day-to-day duties, but will remain as a special advisor to the Kraft Family. He is currently the president of the U.S. Soccer Federation.
