Chris Johnson Shows Signs of Former Self, Rushes for 130 Yards in Titans’ 30-3 Victory Over Panthers

Chris Johnson must have heard the reports during Week 9 about the Titans considering his release.

With under 400 yards and just one touchdown over halfway through the 2011 campgain, Johnson hasn't exactly performed up to his potential. But on Sunday against the Panthers, Chris Johnson looked like the Chris Johnson that the Titans (and many fantasy owners) know and love.

Johnson ran for 130 yards on 27 attempts, averaging 4.8 yards per carry, which is his best performance of the season. The last time he ran for over 100 yards was on Oct. 2, so the outburst was long overdue.

Johnson has run for just over 5,000 yards since entering the NFL in 2008. He rushed for 2,006 yards and 14 touchdowns during his breakout 2009 season.
