Claude Julien Pleased With Bruins’ Compete Level, Hopes to See Same Determination Going Forward


It might only be one win, but it could be the start of something bigger.

The Bruins downed the Ottawa Senators 5-3 at TD Garden on Tuesday night, a welcoming sight for fans who have been left searching for answers in the wake of the team's 3-7-0 start.

Head coach Claude Julien noticed a much higher compete level from the B's than he's seen in previous games this season, but he noted that the real challenge will be to show that they can maintain that determination going forward.

Julien also discussed the importance of how disciplined the Bruins were on Tuesday night. They had been plagued by playing undisciplined hockey in the past, but they were the ones who did the agitating this time around.
