Dustin Pedroia, Adrian Gonzalez, Jacoby Ellsbury Win American League Gold Glove AwardsThe Red Sox were well-represented among the best fielders in the American League, as a trio of Boston defenders won Gold Gloves on Tuesday night.

Dustin Pedroia, Adrian Gonzalez and Jacoby Ellsbury were all honored with the annual award for excellence in fielding.

For Gonzalez, it his third Gold Glove after winning two in San Diego. Pedroia's Gold Glove honor is his second, while Ellsbury is taking home the prize for the first time in his career.

Pedroia was a defensive rock for the Red Sox all season up the middle at second base. The former MVP was a model of consistency for the Sox, playing in the most innings he's ever played in as a major leaguer. Yet, Pedroia committed just seven errors on his way to turning in a .990 fielding percentage. He also led the AL in ultimate zone rating (UZR) at 17.4.

Gonzalez produced not only with his bat in his first season with the Red Sox, but he did it with the glove as well. He committed a career-low four errors at first base for the Sox. Gonzalez's fielding percentage of .997 was the best of his career.

Finally, Ellsbury is a Gold Glover for the first time in his career after turning in an MVP-worthy campaign both at the plate and in the field. Ellsbury bounced back from an injury-riddled 2010 season by recording 388 putouts in center field. Ellsbury also played errorless ball.

Former Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre won the Gold Glove at third base.
