Penn State head coach Joe Paterno's weekly news conference has been canceled, according to The Associated Press.
Scheduled for 12:20 p.m. ET on Tuesday afternoon, Paterno was to meet with members of the media, as he does every week.
Paterno's son Scott told The AP that the decision was made by Penn State president Graham Spanier's office and added that his father was disappointed but was prepared to take questions about the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
