His time in Happy Valley may soon be over, but many in the Penn State community still support Joe Paterno.

The 84-year-old football coach is reportedly close to being ushered out by the university in the wake of a disturbing child sexual abuse scandal involving former PSU defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky. Paterno had his weekly news conference cancelled by school president Graham Spanier, and many speculate the end is near for the winningest coach in FBS history.

In a show of support for their embattled coach, a number of Penn State students showed up at Paterno’s house on Tuesday night, holding signs and yelling words of encouragement from the driveway.

Newsday reporter Jim Baumbach snapped multiple pictures of the scene at Paterno’s house and posted them to his Twitter account.
