Julius Erving ‘Rocks The Baby,’ Puts Lakers to Sleep With Big Dunk in 1983 (Video)

Although he retired in 1987, Julius Erving is still one of the most exciting players to ever play in the NBA.

More commonly known as “Dr. J,” Erving won two titles in the ABA before the league merged with the NBA. He won an NBA title with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1983.

The UMass grad helped change the game with his incredible leaping ability, dunking over just about anyone who got in his way — including Michael Cooper in the 1983 NBA Finals.
