Suarez and Lucas have been teammates for only ten months, but the Uruguayan has made some impression on the 24-year-old Brazilian. His stature around the world has only increased since moving to Liverpool. The Reds’ marksman was named the top player at last summer’s Copa America as he fired the Uruguayans to the championship.
The Brazilian trio of Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Neymar round out the list. The absence of any Argentine players other than Messi reveals something about the recent state of the game in that country.
