While a Manny PacquiaoFloyd Mayweather Jr. bout might be what every boxing fan is hoping for, Pacquiao was given a run for his money on Saturday night by Juan Manuel Marquez.

Each fighter dished out punishment before Pacquiao eventually escaped with a decision win.

Pacquiao won on two scorecards, but a third judge scored the match a draw. Pacquiao entered the fight as the heavy favorite, with Marquez a 7-1 underdog, but the result was still very much in doubt at the conclusion of 12 rounds.

It might seem a bit surprising to see Pacquiao nearly slip up, but considering the fighters' other two close bouts, it really shouldn't be. In fact, given the debate that's already begun as to whether Pacquiao truly deserved to be crowned victorious, perhaps we'll see a fourth fight down the line.
