Nate Solder Suffers Concussion, Questionable for Game Against Jets

Rookie tackle Nate Solder was added to the Patriots' injury report Saturday after suffering a concussion. The team did not disclose how he was injured, but they did conduct a walkthrough Saturday.

Solder will have to pass a concussion test in order to play Sunday against the Jets.

Solder has been used in a rotational basis with right tackle Sebastian Vollmer, who has missed five games this season with a back injury. Vollmer has played in the team's last two games, though, and he is listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis all week.

The Patriots didn't have any other backup tackles on the active roster when Solder was added to the injury report. They'd have to sign a player by 4 p.m. Saturday for him to be eligible to play in Sunday's game, so that deadline should be a strong indication of their status.
