Report: Colts Expected to Draft Andrew Luck If They End Up With First Overall PickThe Colts will reportedly draft Andrew Luck if they end up with the first overall selection in the 2012 NFL draft.

The Colts are expected to hand off their franchise from Peyton Manning to Luck, ESPN.com's Adam Schefter reports.

With the Colts sitting at 0-11 with a two-game "lead" over the Vikings and Rams in the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes, it's very likely that Indianapolis will end up with the first overall selection in April's draft.

There's already been some debate as to what the Colts will elect to do, though, as Peyton Manning signed a five-year contract extension in July but continues to battle his way back from neck surgery.

With Manning still in the fold, we could see an interesting dynamic in Indy. Either way, though, Schefter is confident that Luck's the guy if the Colts are on the clock at No. 1.

"There will be some twists and turns to it, and eventually Matt Barkley's name might enter the conversation. But when the Colts are on the clock — and they will be on the clock the day the season ends — Luck can start looking to buy a new house in Indianapolis," Schefter said via his mailbag on ESPN.com on Monday.

Luck is regarded as a can't-miss prospect and the best quarterback to enter the NFL draft in years. He decided to remain at Stanford for one more year despite already being considered a No. 1 pick by many last season. His performance this season has further solidified his status as the consensus No. 1 pick in 2012.

Manning is expected to have his neck re-evaluated Wednesday, according to NFL.com, and his future remains a bit unclear.
