Slugger David Ortiz has made Boston his home since signing with the Red Sox in 2003. But some other clubs are looking to give Big Papi a new address for next season.

The 36-year-old free agent is receiving “serious interest” from multiple teams, according to the Boston Herald’s Mike Silverman.

“He has lots of options,” the source told Silverman.

Boston offered the designated hitter an arbitration deal last week, which has yet to be accepted or declined.

Ortiz posted a .309 batting average, 29 homers and 96 RBIs for the Red Sox in 2011, a season in which he made $12.5 million. It is expected that the salary offer from arbitration would be a few million more than last year’s total.
