The Red Sox appear to have narrowed their search for a new manager down to two candidates, but no decision has been announced.

The finalists for the position are Gene Lamont and Bobby Valentine, SI.com's Jon Heyman tweeted Sunday.

The Red Sox have yet to make an offer to Valentine, a source told ESPN, which labeled the former Mets and Rangers skipper the "presumed managerial front-runner."

Multiple reports suggest a decision is expected this week.
