Sidney Crosby Scores Goal Just Three Shifts Into Return From Concussion (Video)That didn't take long.

With plenty of hype surrounding Sidney Crosby's return to the ice on Monday, the man considered by many to be the game's best player wasted no time in announcing his return. Just three shifts in, Crosby found the back of the net.

Crosby, who had been sidelined since the beginning of January with concussion-related symptoms, finally returned to the ice as the Penguins hosted Islanders on Monday night, and he made an immediate impression.

It only took three shifts for the All-Star to regain his scoring touch, as Crosby took a pass from Pascal Dupuis in stride and roofed a backhander over the shoulder of Islanders goalie Anders Nilsson just 5:48 into the first period.

It didn't stop there, though. No. 87 then assisted on a Brooks Orpik goal 11 minutes later to notch his second point of the evening before picking up his third point by assisting on Evgeni Malkin's power-play goal in the second period.

The goal was Crosby's first since Dec. 28 of last year when he potted two goals in a four-point night against the artists formerly known as the Atlanta Thrashers.
