What Should Patriots Do With Julian Edelman Following His Indecent Assault and Battery Charges? For Patriots players — both on the field and off — it's usually one strike and you're out.

Julian Edelman may soon be punished by Bill Belichick and the Patriots after the wide receiver reportedly appeared in court on Tuesday to face indecent assault and battery charges, stemming from an altercation on Monday night at a Back Bay nightclub.

In four games this season, the Kent State product has three receptions for 25 yards to go with nine kickoff returns for 211 yards. Edelman also has nine punt returns for 105 yards but hasn't seen action since Week 4 in Oakland. In 30 career games over his three-year career, Edelman has 47 receptions for 470 yards and a receiving touchdown to go with one punt return touchdown.
