All things considered, jumping the shark at 89 years old isn’t all that bad, but make no mistake about — Betty White has jumped the shark.

The actress’ career received a second wind thanks to a Super Bowl commercial in February 2010, and she used the revived fame to host Saturday Night Live, star in Hot In Cleveland, make guest spots on Community, 30 Rock and The Middle, and star in a music video that makes everyone feel really uncomfortable.

And on Monday, the soon-to-be-nonagenarian was the star of the open for Monday Night Football, and man, we never realized we’d miss that lame song by Hank Williams Jr. as much as we do right now.

The 90-second clip started with White making a joke about her being old (get it?!), another joke about Tebowing (she couldn’t get up because she’s old! Get it?!) and a comment about the “hot-looking quarterbacks of today.”

“[Matt] Ryan‘s nickname is ‘Matty Ice’ because he’s so cool,” White said. “But I prefer ‘Matty Steam’ because he’s so hot.”

Get it?

We’ll give ESPN this: It was funny to see the 89-year-old stomp in place while holding a football and screaming “You can’t stop the pain train!” But that’s it. Oh, and I also loved her work on Golden Girls. That’s just a great show.

The best part of it all was that before Mike Tirico signed off for the final time this year, he made sure to thank Betty White. Because nothing says Monday Night Football like thanking Betty White.
