Bobby Valentine Expects Red Sox Pitching Coach to Be Named ‘Quicker Rather Than Later’

Bobby Valentine has only been the Red Sox manager for five days, but he's already busy preparing for the 2012 season.

Valentine is down at the MLB winter meetings in Dallas, working alongside Ben Cherington and Co. to build the best roster and the best staff before the upcoming season. He admits that everything's happening so fast, but that adrenaline will keep him going.

Valentine caught up with NESN's Tom Caron and Peter Gammons at the winter meetings and discussed a number of topics. He talked about his visit with David Ortiz in the Dominican Republic and what he's been doing during his first few days as Red Sox manager.

To hear from Valentine, check out the video above from Red Sox Hot Stove Live.
