Bobby Valentine Unsure of How to Define His Managerial ‘Style’ But Says Preparation Plays Large Role

Bobby Valentine's reputation as a good baseball man is one that is known across the game. That reputation wasn't developed over night, though, and much of it stems from his preparation.

The new Red Sox manager appeared on Red Sox Hot Stove Live shortly after being introduced as the new skipper, and when asked by Don Orsillo to define his managerial style, Valentine wasn't sure how to describe it entirely.

He did say, however, that a few things will be certain. One, he will certainly be as prepared as you can be when it's time to play, and two, he's going to do all he can to keep the lines of communication throughout the organization.
