Brendan Haywood is understandably in a good mood. He’s an NBA champion, a multi-millionaire and he’s finally about to get back to work after a five-month vacation.

He was downright giddy in a visit to the Verizon Center practice court, where his former team, the Washington Wizards, was working out now that the lockout has unofficially been lifted.

Haywood joked with Andray Blatche about the 19-win season they endured in 2008-09, according to The Washington Post’s Michael Lee.

He also playfully mocked Blatche’s huge diamond earrings. The Celtics’ Kevin Garnett is well-known for his showy earwear.

“Dray, you went through the 19 wins, too. You just don’t get no ring for your effort,” Haywood said, according to Lee’s blog. “But you got good earrings, though, bro. What are those, double KGs?”

Haywood’s got his own jewelry coming soon. The Mavericks are set to receive their championship rings as soon as they are designed and fitted.
