The Celtics haven't really been able to make a big splash, so they may need some help from their rookies in 2011-12.

The C's announced that they have signed rookies JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore, each of whom they drafted earlier this offseason.

Johnson, a 6-foot-10 forward out of Purdue, was drafted in the first round (27th overall) this offseason. The 22-year-old was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in his final season with the Boilermakers, averaging 20.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

Moore, also a Purdue product, is a 6-foot-4 guard who was selected in the second round with the 55th overall pick. He was an Honorable Mention Associated Press All-American last season. He averaged 18 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
