Celtics Sign Marquis Daniels Less Than a Year After Trading Him to Sacramento Kings

Marquis Daniels is back in green.

The Celtics announced that they have signed the 30-year-old guard/forward, which will help bolster their bench.

The 6-foot-6 Daniels has averaged 8.6 points per game in 22.5 minutes per game over the course of his career. He played with the C's last season and the season before, although the team traded him to the Sacramento Kings in February.

Daniels played in 49 games with the Celtics last season, averaging 5.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. In 2009-10, he averaged 5.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game for Boston.

Daniels' best season came in 2008-09 as a member of the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 54 games. He started a career-high 43 games that season.
