Lindsey Vonn Denies She is Dating Tim Tebow After Being Spotted With Tebow Family at Broncos GameThat burning smell Sunday was the smoke emanating from Twitter's overworked servers after skier Lindsey Vonn was seen watching the Bears-Broncos game from the Tebow family luxury box.

The social mediaverse immediately erupted with rumors that Vonn, who lives in Colorado to take advantage of the easy access to slopes, was dating Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. It's a pairing made in Internet heaven.

Vonn threw cold water on the situation, though, by writing in a column for The Denver Post that she and Tebow are not dating.

"A lot of people are wondering what's up with me and the Tebows," wrote Vonn, who has collaborated with the Post's John Meyer on a World Cup column since 2005. "I'm just friends with the family. I met Tim and his brother Pete at the ESPY Awards like three or four years ago in the gym — we were working out there. I spent more time with Tim and his brother at the V Foundation Golf Tournament, and this year at the ESPYs.

"Tim presented me with my ESPY award this year, and we kind of chatted. I said, 'If you want to come up to Vail and ski, let me know.' Robby invited me to one of their games a few weeks ago. Then we ended up being able to race at Beaver Creek, so he came up for that last Wednesday.

"I pretty much know their whole family now. They're great people. It's pretty awesome to be able to hang out with them — and to be able to witness the amazing things Tim and the Broncos can do."

The dating rumors began last week, when Vonn struck a Tebow pose after winning the World Cup Super-G at Beaver Creek on Wednesday. Vonn denied the rumors then as well.

"Just because I 'Tebow' doesn't mean I'm dating him," Vonn said, according to The Associated Press.

Vonn's marital status complicates things, of course. Vonn recently filed for divorce, but Vonn said she is not currently seeing anyone.

On Sunday, she said she was just a typical sports fan with Tebowmania.

"I really get inspired by other athletes," Vonn said of her experience at the game. "I like to believe that the impossible is possible, and people like that make you believe."
