Ever wanted to be the king of the local park's basketball court but lack the skills it takes to be a real baller? With the NBA's newest game, that crown can be yours.

With the lockout over and the season approaching, the NBA released NBA: King of the Court on Thursday, its first location-based, augmented reality game exclusively for the iPhone and Android smart phones.

In the game, you can challenge anyone in real locations right on your phone for control of different courts. The challenges are time-based shooting contests in which you can even earn power-ups to get more points or prevent your opponent from getting any.

The app is free to download and play. Check out some screenshots below of NBA: King of the Court.
