Nemanja Vidic Will Be Ready For 2012-13 Season, Agent Claims Recovery Will Take Six MonthsWhen Nemanja Vidic suffered a season-ending knee injury in early December, there were fears his layoff might extend into next season.

Click Manchester reports Vidic's agent assured United fans that the club captain will be ready in time for the 2012-13 campaign.

"He's now comfortable, his soul in peace and he's waiting to recover," Silvana Martina said. "Of course there's been talk of 12 months. Then the withdrawal and retirement … Do not talk nonsense! He'll be back in five to six months at most; it is an accident from which he'll heal.

"Next season he'll return better and stronger."

Vidic suffered the injury in the first half of United's UEFA Champions League loss to FC Basel. It ended an injury-riddled season for the highly-rated defender.

United hasn't suffered any setbacks in Vidic's absence. It has won three of three games and only conceded one goal without him. It trails Manchester City by two points for the English Premier League lead.
