HBO's 24/7 series has once again drawn rave reviews from hockey fans this season, but those Bruins fans looking for a more in-depth look at one of their own players now have a chance to do so.
The NHL and NHL Original Productions announced that Patrice Bergeron will be the next player profiled in the all-access series NHL 36. Fans looking for a glimpse of a 36-hour span in Bergeron's life can tune in to the NBC Sports Network on Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
NHL Original Productions cameras followed the Bruins alternate captain beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The plan was to follow him for 36 hours, which includes him participating in practice, flying with teammates to Phoenix and preparing for Wednesday night's game with the Coyotes.
"Patrice has won a Stanley Cup, plus a gold medal at the Olympics, at the World Championship and at the World Junior Championship," said Ross Greenburg, executive producer of NHL 36. "He is one of the league's most underrated superstars."
The narration of the series is provided by actor and Emmy Award winner Peter Coyote.
