The Red Sox and Cubs have yet to formally piece together the entire compensation package for Theo Epstein's Boston departure, but they're apparently getting there.
However, instead of what Epstein and the Cubs will send to Boston, the early pieces of the package center around what won't be heading from Boston to Chicago in the next few years.
ESPN.com reports that while the two teams have yet to decide on any prospects the Sox may receive, the two sides have come to an agreement in which Epstein will not be able to hire a member of the Boston staff for three years.
This comes on the heels of the new Chicago president's hiring of Matt Corey, a former area scout for the Red Sox who was promoted to national crosschecker as part of the Cubs organization.
In terms of players, the report indicates that the Red Sox won't get much — a "run of the mill prospect or two" is all Boston will likely get as part of the deal.
