Report: Theo Epstein, Cubs ‘Definitely’ In the Mix for Prince Fielder

Theo Epstein is already beloved in The Windy City, but the Cubs new general manager could get a statue erected in Chicago before his team even plays a game if he lands free agent first baseman Prince Fielder this offseason.

According to Jon Heyman, the Cubbies are in on the Fielder mix and aren’t just pretenders. In fact, Heyman even thinks that Fielder has always made more sense for the Cubs than Albert Pujols did, as seen in his tweet below.
