Liverpool has lost to Swansea in a transfer tussle over Rory Donnelly.
The Daily Mail reports the Cliftonville (Northern Ireland) striker is set to join the Premier League newcomers, after agreeing to sign a contract terms with Swansea.
"I think we now have an agreement on both sides in terms of Cliftonville as a club and personal terms with the player, so we hope to complete that fairly soon," Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers said.
"He will be over here for the game against Tottenham on Saturday. We will look to complete the medical tomorrow and get that put to bed and the boy can then come over and work on developing his game."
Last week, both Liverpool and Everton contacted Cliftonville about the talented 19-year-old. The Northern Irish club may have wanted to spark a bidding war for the Donnelly by going public about the interest, but it is unknown if either Merseyside club submitted a transfer bid.
Cliftonville had already accepted Swansea's £100,000 ($155,290) transfer bid by the time LFC and Everton registered their interest. Donnelly visited the Welsh club last week, and it seems its personal touch won him over.
