The Miami Marlins are in the middle of a rebranding campaign, with the name and uniform change, but they may have more important issues at hand.

The SEC has also asked to speak to commissioner Bud Selig and the local government in order to find out how the Marlins persuaded county commisioners to fund the majority of costs — 80 percent — of the Marlins’ new stadium, Yahoo! reports.

There is a lot more mystery and suspicion surrounding the new stadium, particularly because the Marlins were making profits and the county will now pay $2.4 billion to help fund the costs.
