Vote: Is Tim Tebow the Biggest Surprise in the NFL This Season? The Denver Broncos were not expected to do much of anything coming into the 2011 NFL season. After taking a step back in 2010 with a 4-12 record in 2010, there wasn't much hope for improvement.

And as expected, the Broncos stumbled over themselves to begin this season, doing so behind veteran quarterback Kyle Orton. New head coach John Fox was looking at a team that was 1-4 heading into its bye week, when he decided to make the change.

Fox decided that after the bye, sophomore signal caller Tim Tebow would be the Broncos' starting quarterback. All Tebow has done since then is go 7-1, leading the Broncos to the top of the AFC West standings. All of a sudden, a team that was more or less left for dead, is among the AFC's top teams.

It's one of, if not the biggest surprises of the 2011 season. Tebow's winning ways aren't the only things we didn't exactly see coming, though.

Who thought that we'd be a week from Christmas, and the Indianapolis Colts would be without a win? That's apparently what happens when you lose Peyton Manning.

We knew that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers would be good — they won the Super Bowl last year after all — but did anyone see them flirting with perfection as they are this season?

And finally, Brett Favre is still retired. That's pretty surprising too, isn't it?

What has been the biggest surprise in the NFL this season?
