Vote: What Was Your Favorite Storyline From Bruins' 6-0 Win Over Flyers? The Bruins had an opportunity to tie the Flyers atop the Eastern Conference on Saturday, and they made sure not to squander it.

The B's scored early and often, dominating the Flyers 6-0 on the road. They scored four first-period goals in the win, which runs their winning streak to four games. The Bruins' victory also snaps the Flyers' seven-game winning streak.

A win is a win, but given the amount of storylines from Saturday's rout, it's certainly one of the most important, impressive and intriguing games of the season for the Black and Gold.

Not only did the Bruins move into a tie with the Flyers in the battle for Eastern Conference supremacy, but they got back their captain, Zdeno Chara. Chara had missed the last two games due to a lower-body injury he sustained last Saturday in Columbus.

And in his return, Chara was the best player for the majority of the game. Chara registered a Gordie Howe hat trick, dropping the mitts with Jody Shelley just 2:13 into the game, scoring a power-play goal and assisting a Nathan Horton tally.

In fact, Chara's power-play goal was one of three Boston power-play goals in the game. The B's were 3-for-8 with the man advantage, which included their first 5-on-3 goal of the season.

Tim Thomas was his usual stellar self in net, stopping all 31 shots he faced to make sure the 19,948 in attendance went home without seeing their beloved Flyers get on the board. It was Thomas' 30th career shutout, an impressive feat for the two-time Vezina-winning netminder.

Claude Julien reached a milestone as well, picking up his 200th win as head coach of the Bruins.

And if all of this wasn't enough to get you excited about the big win, the Bruins will now look fantastic when it comes to HBO's airing of 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic, which is following the Flyers and Rangers.
