Carolina Panthers Release Redesigned Logo for 2012

For the first time since they entered the league in 1995, the Carolina Panthers are altering their logo. The updated logo intends to be more aggressive and contemporary, according to the Panthers website.

The organization also changed the accompanying logo font. They decided to make the change from the older, virtually unreadable one to one that is much simpler and easier to read.The team claims that the font was chosen because it was "inspired by the swift, sleek nature of a panther."
