Being engaged to a star athlete who is also active on social media has its upside. For Evelyn Lozada, it assures her name will never be far from the headlines.

The downside, however, is that she’s just a Chad Ochocinco tweet away from the Patriots wide receiver blowing up her spot.

Ochocinco used his 140-character allotment on Twitter to inform the world Friday of Lozada’s gas, although it sounds like their fellow airplane passengers were already aware of it.

“Flight home with @evelynlozada would’ve been nice if she didn’t have gas throughout the flight,” Ochocinco tweeted. “I felt bad for the passengers with nostrils.”

At least Ochocinco and Lozada are on good terms despite news this week that their wedding is on hold.

The Johnson family and its extended network are nothing if not candid. Ochocinco and his daughter Jicyra Johnson aired each other out on Twitter earlier this week after Johnson reportedly was suspended for being tardy to school and talking back to a teacher.

Johnson reprimanded his daughter via Twitter, telling her “I’ve no idea where you got your sense of humor but you never undermine authority especially teachers dammit!”

Johnson wasn’t taking that tongue-lashing from her riverdancing pops.

“Daddy, I got it from you, so child please!” she responded.

And ’round and ’round it goes.

Quote of the day

“I understand Bill O’Brien has been named head coach and I want to congratulate him on his appointment. I don’t know Bill, but I respect his coaching record, and I am particularly pleased we share a connection to my alma mater, Brown. Despite recent commentary to the contrary, Penn State football has always been about more than winning. … I am hopeful this tradition will continue.”
