From the Madden Curse to game simulations, the Madden series video game has sparked debate on many levels. As gamers play on the virtual gridiron, sports fans use Madden as a way to predict the outcomes of real-life games.

Assuming the rankings of each individual player are accurate, one can see that a full simulation of a game could bring fairly accurate results. While the legitimacy of Madden's simulations are certainly up for debate, it can't be denied that it has provided great fodder for argumentative fans.

On Friday, Jan. 27, ESPN released its simulation of Super Bowl XLVI. The simulation awarded the win to the Giants on a field goal as time expired.

Let it be known that though the Madden simulations have been correct for six of the last eight Super Bowls, Madden was correct just over 60 percent of the time this season..

Check out the video below for highlights of the simulation.
