Esteban Granero's Agent Says Midfielder 'Keen for Move Away -- Possibly to Liverpool'Esteban Granero‘s agent spoke of the player’s frustration at sitting on the bench at Real Madrid. He said Granero will look to leave the Spanish giants in the summer with Anfield a possible destination, according to the International Business Times.

“He’s finding his chances limited at Real,” Teofilo Lazaro said. “He’s keen for a move away — possibly to Liverpool.”

“If he can’t play at Madrid then he’ll play somewhere else. It’s as simple as that.”

The £8 million ($12.5 million) Spanish midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid. He was linked LFC earlier this month, and his agent’s comments will add fuel to the speculation.

It is unlikely Granero will see much more playing time with Madrid this season (or beyond). The La Liga leader is competing for domestic and European honors, and manager Jose Mourinho has settled on a rotation of players. The chances of Granero breaking into it — he’s made only seven appearances in all competitions — are slim.

LFC manager Kenny Dalglish has a number of midfield options, and it is hard to imagine he will add another before the summer.
